Not all monomers on the market are safe to do acrylic nails. Some of them are based on Methyl Methacrylate or Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) used for dental use, and others are based on Ethyl Methacrylate (EMA) suitable for making acrylic nails.

When making acrylic nails always make sure to use an acrylic monomer, otherwise it can cause harmful effects such as loss of sensitivity in the fingertips, skin allergies, nail deformation, permanent loss of the nail and there is a high probability that the aspiration of its vapors contributes to the development of cancer, since it generates mutations in the cells. Conclusion: Methacrylate and acrylic nails never go hand in hand!

You can recognize an MMA monomer from an EMA monomer by the price, they are more expensive than the first one. We suggest you check the label to make sure that among the components it clearly states Ethyl Methacrylate. This way you will be taking care of your and your client´s health.
